According to a news release from the
Peoria Area Association of REALTORS® (PAAR), home sales in the Peoria Area
continued to improve in the third quarter of this year. Home sales were up 2.4%
from 2013. The median sales price also increased 2.6% in the third quarter of
2013. According to Phil Harvey, President
of PAAR, “We are delighted to report that — like many other areas of the
country — the Peoria region market continues to be stable and active. This is a
welcome scenario as it benefits both home sellers and homebuyers equally. With
the Month’s Supply of Inventory down 4.5 percent to 6.4 months, we know that
buyers will find a good inventory of homes for sale and sellers will be able to
sell their home in a reasonable amount of time.” You can read the full new
release and view additional market statistics at http://www.paarealtors.com/members/news/pjs/pressrelease/2014-10-PRESS-3rd_Qtr_Sales.pdf
